OLD EQUIPMENT FOR MEASURING WORKPLACE RISKS

The Work Accident Mutual Fund Fraternidad MUPRESPA presents, starting May 3, at its headquarters on Calle Saint Augustine No. 10, an exhibition of old measuring equipment, on the occasion of the commemoration of the [World Day for Safety and Health at Work on April 28](/noticias.aspx?x=48).

Throughout the exhibition, different devices are shown that have been used since the 70s of the last century to measure physical and chemical contaminants, etc., present in the workplace, as well as equipment for periodic medical examinations, so well known by workers.

The rapid technological advance allows greater reliability and comfort in modern equipment, with old equipment soon becoming obsolete.

This exhibition tries to recover the memory of part of the prevention activities of the last forty years. A look from industrial archeology on the metrology of occupational risks and their effects on workers in our country.
