# First María Angustias Martín Quirós awards with the presence of Fraternidad-Muprespa

On the afternoon of Thursday, September 26, the Auditorium of the Caja Rural Foundation of Granada hosted the presentation of the first edition of the Andalusian award.María Angustias Martín Quirós' which grants the Official College of Psychology of Eastern Andalusia. Various public and private entities, including Fraternidad-Muprespa, are collaborators of these awards, which value the best initiatives in promoting occupational health and managing emotions in organizations. They also recognize those who work to prevent damage to the health of their workers and promote their improvement.

The event was attended by, among other authorities,Luis Salvador, mayor of Granada;José Agustín González, Secretary General of Employment of the Junta de Andalucía;Mª Pilar Aranda, rector of the University of Granada, and Manuel Mariano Vera, dean of the Official College of Psychology of Eastern Andalusia.

An Evaluation Committee was responsible for choosing the winners, among which were Fraternidad-Muprespa mutual companies, such as the agricultural cooperative The S.C.A Group, winner in the SME category, and the University of Almeria, in the category of companies and public organizations. Valeo Lighting and People and Health Services S.L.U. Quiron Health Group,  also mutualists of Fraternidad-Muprespa, were finalists in different categories.

Valeo representatives, in addition to this recognition, received the 2017 bonus incentive at the end of the awards ceremony for their contribution to reducing workplace accidents. The company's prevention manager, Eduardo Molina, received the accreditation diploma from the Provincial Director of Fraternidad-Muprespa in Jaén,Angel Gilabert, and the Deputy Provincial Director,Victor Cruz.

The awards are named after María Angustias Martín Quirós, doctor in Psychology and professor of Work and Human Resources Psychology at the University of Granada, who focused her teaching and research activity, at national and European level, on analyzing quality processes in organizations, as well as on the study of health and emotions in the workplace.
