# Fraternidad-Muprespa and the ORP Center of Córdoba have held a conference on the Nano world

HeOccupational Risk Prevention Centerof Córdoba belonging to the Ministry of Economy, Innovation, Science and Employment andFraternidad-MuprespaOn November 15, they organized the technical conference “Entering the world of workplace nanosafety.” This activity is part of those developed by this center to promote occupational health and safety.

The event was inaugurated byRosa Montero Simó, director of the Occupational Risk Prevention Center, giving a brief introduction and the objective of the day, clarifying the basic concepts about the world of occupational nanosafety, and disseminate highlights of occupational risk prevention in this new technological field.

Subsequently,Inmaculada Rufián Peña, provincial director of Fraternidad-Muprespa in Córdoba, after thanking the attendees for their presence, introduced the speakerCarmen Alvarado Escolano, Technical Coordinator of the General Subdirectorate of Prevention, Quality and Communication of the Mutua, to whom she thanked the theme chosen for the day, for its novelty and unknown to the general public.

The first part of the presentation addressed nanomaterials and the basic notions of prevention and the second talk focused on good preventive practices and answering existing doubts about their toxicology, health effects, effectiveness of protection ventilation systems, as well as the lack of limit values.

As a culmination of this interesting and enjoyable presentation, an interesting debate was generated among the attendees that had a high degree of participation.
