News

Fraternidad-Muprespa and the Distance University of Madrid have received an honorable mention from the PREVER 2017 Prevention Awards, which was delivered to them at the XIX Technical Conference on Occupational Risk Prevention and Social Responsibility, on March 2 and 3, 2018, at the University of Córdoba.

The academic work done by Antonio Monroy student of the Industrial Organization Engineering Degree at UDIMA and directed by the UDIMA professor Ricardo Diaz, is part of the research carried out in the Occupational Risk Prevention Observatory that the University develops together with Fraternidad-Muprespa.

On behalf of Fraternidad-Muprespa were present at the delivery,Immaculate Rufián, provincial director of Córdoba and the Rafael Delgado, Prevention technician.

The award-winning work is research on modeling and forecasting accidents in the beverage industry.

The UDIMA and the Mutual Collaborator with Social Security, Fraternidad-Muprespa signed a collaboration agreement to create an “Observatory for the Prevention of Occupational Risks”, specifically for the prediction of accident data and applying it in prevention.

The research studies are based on field work collecting homogeneous data on accidents or sick leave that have occurred over a significant period of 10 to 15 years and are classified by sector. Once the data is sorted, it is normalized, generating preferably dimensionless indices.

For Mutua, these models can be used to know the most probable costs due to accidents; in addition to knowing a priori which are the critical points where preventive work can be carried out more intensely.
