# Fraternidad-Muprespa celebrates a day on PRL for divers in Cantabria

Last June 22 Fraternidad-Muprespa of Santander, in collaboration with the Cantabrian Institute of Safety and Health at Work(ICASST) and the Nautical Fishing Training Center and the Ministry of Rural Environment, Fishing and Food, have held a day on the prevention of occupational risks in gelidium startup activities.

Amalio Sanchez Grande, director of ICASST, was in charge of the presentation of the day, who highlighted the importance of prevention and thanked all the attendees for their presence, who, being such a specific sector, filled the room's capacity.

Next Eduardo Lodeiro Pérez, Occupational Risk Prevention technician at Fraternidad-Muprespa in A Coruña, has given a presentation on the risks of professional diving.

The day was attended by staff from the Cantabrian Institute of Safety and Health at Work and the Department of Rural Environment, Fisheries and Food who completed the presentation, with the applicable regulations, human resources and minimum mandatory materials, in the activity of removing algae from afloat vessels with divers with air supply from the surface.

Before the closing, a debate was generated about the current situation that had great participation from all attendees.
