# Fraternidad-Muprespa FINISHES THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE BIOMETRIC SIGNATURE

Fraternidad-Muprespa Mutual Collaborator with Social Security, has completed a project that began in 2014, consisting of the acquisition of 150 digitized handwritten signature capture devices. Last April, it integrated another 130 digital signature tablets into its centers.  
   
The signature tablets have been installed at the admissions of the Fraternidad-Muprespa healthcare centers and in the doctors' offices. Its usefulness is to present information from flyers, applications, informed consents and any other document that patients must sign, and allow their digital handwritten signature.  
   
The digital handwritten signature, also known as a biometric signature, collects the biometric parameters of stroke, speed and pressure and stores the calligraphic pattern of the signer, with an encryption system under a digital certificate. The signed documents are automatically incorporated into the Electronic Medical Record.  
   
The 14-inch color devices present documentation to patients treated on a full screen and in real size, allowing them to consult multi-page documents.  
   
The documentation digitally signed by workers and patients will be made available through the [Patient Portal](https://extranet.fraternidad.com/Fraternidad.Extranet.AE.Web/login/login_paciente.aspx) in your personal mailbox.  
   
This project allows the total elimination of paper in healthcare centers and is aligned with the objectives of respect for the environment pursued in the ISO 1400.1 certificate implemented in Fraternidad-Muprespa and increases the level of security and guarantee of the documentation of files and medical records.  
   
Fraternidad-Muprespa is the pioneer Mutual Society in the adoption of the digitized handwritten signature.
