# Fraternidad-Muprespa in Oviedo celebrates Prevention Week

Prevention week

The Mutual Collaborator with Social Security Fraternidad-Muprespa in Oviedo, has commemorated the World Day for Safety and Health at Work with the holding of open days as part of the “Prevention Week”.

Strengthening the preventive culture is one of the main objectives in terms of occupational risk prevention and is carried out at Fraternidad-Muprespa, as it is considered an essential element to fight against workplace accidents. Involving the entire society and promoting safe procedures and awareness-raising and information actions are essential to make firm progress in this matter.

Making future workers aware of the fact that it is a Mutual Collaborator with Social Security and the various areas of work that are carried out in it in areas such as the prevention, rehabilitation and management of work accidents and occupational diseases, is one of the activities that have been carried out at the open day.

The visits have consisted of the simulation of a work accident and all the steps leading to the rehabilitation and improvement of the injured worker. To achieve this, we have had the collaboration of all the departments of Fraternidad-Muprespa in Oviedo: Admission, medical service, nursing, physiotherapy, administration and prevention.

This week the following groups of students have visited us:

On Monday, April 24, we were accompanied by Masaveu Foundation with two groups of students: Medium-grade Machining and Higher-grade Electricity, with a total of 35 students accompanied by Francisco García Campa.

On Thursday the 27th we were visited by Down Syndrome Association, attended by 15 students, some of them are already doing internships in workplaces. They have been accompanied by their educators Isabel Friend, Silvia Castellanos y Luz María Noriega.

On Friday the 28th Masaveu Foundation has come with two new groups of students: Intermediate level Electricity (15 students) and Higher level Mechanization (15 students), accompanied by Francisco García Campa.

The Father Vinjoy Foundation, has also joined the commemorative events on Monday, May 2, with two groups of students: Basic Degree in Computer Science and the Higher Degree in Audioprosthetics, adding a total of 21 students, who have come with their teachers,Jose Manuel Orrego y Mrs. Alicia Portilla.

In total, 108 people, including students and teachers, have attended these days, who have shown their satisfaction in these visits.
