# Fraternidad-Muprespa participates in a conference on ORP and forestry in Cuenca

Fraternidad‑Muprespa has participated in the technical conference “ Prevention of occupational risks in forestry and forestry activities., held in Cuenca and organized by the Regional Institute of Occupational Safety and Health of Castilla-La Mancha (IRSSL). The meeting brought together professionals from the forestry and preventive field to analyze the specific risks of the sector and share strategies for improving occupational health and safety.

The Mutual Fund intervened through Ángel Hilario Patón, Prevention consultant of the Provincial Directorate of Toledo, who gave the presentation “ Preventive overview in forestry and forestry activities”, in which  It addressed the planning of forestry work, the dynamics of accidents and technical action in the natural environment.

X-ray of the sector and operational analysis of risks

Patón carried out a detailed x-ray of the accident rate in the sector in Castilla-La Mancha, focusing on the complexity of a work environment marked by the variability of the terrain, climatic conditions and the physical nature of the tasks. The analysis included a review of the main risks associated with the different phases of the operational cycle, from land preparation to felling, delimbing, processing and transportation.

The speaker delved into the dynamics of the accident in the most critical phases, highlighting the importance of anticipation, training and real-time supervision to reduce exposure to serious dangers. The session concluded focused on the key role of innovation and emerging technologies, such as sensorization, alert systems and the digitalization of processes, in the continuous improvement of safety in the natural environment.

A program with expert voices from the forestry and preventive field

The day included the participation of Rafael Lopez,  head of the Forest Service of the Ministry of Sustainable Development, who opened the meeting with a presentation on the planning and execution of forestry work. They later intervened Juan Carlos Crespo, authorized technician of the Guadalajara Occupational Health and Safety Service, and Francisco Javier de la Cruz, director of the IRSSL, in charge of closing the event.
