They participated in the meeting two territorial delegates of the Junta de Andalucía, Marina Montes, Employment, Business and Self-Employment, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Development and Public Administration, and Rachel Lopez, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development. Also Carmen Cano, president of ACORA (Business Association of Industrial Oil Mills of Córdoba). Montes defended the need to continue promoting a solid preventive culture in the olive sector and insisted on the importance of coordination between administrations, companies and social agents, pointing out that “No administration, company or agent can face the challenge of reducing workplace accidents alone.". The presentation session began Daniel Gamboa, responsible for the Training, Information and Statistics Area of ​​the CPRL of Córdoba, who highlighted the work carried out by the technicians of said center and reviewed the different accident statistics of recent years, as well as particular situations that are found daily in the oil mills of Córdoba. He then intervened Maria Dolores Zurita, Labor Deputy Inspector of Occupational Safety and Health of the Córdoba Labor Inspection, exposing in an educational manner the actions that the Labor Inspection has been carrying out in the different oil mills. He stressed that the work of the inspection is not only sanctioning, but also advisory, to make visible those aspects that can be improved in addition to exposing different real cases. Later it was the turn of Rafael Delgado, Prevention consultant at He delved into the study of noise as a prominent physical agent in these work spaces and emphasized what preventive measures must be adopted to prevent the risk of hearing loss or professional deafness. Delgado discussed aspects related to human behavior such as communication, conduct or decision-making to guide compliance with safety regulations by people who work in an oil mill. The round of presentations has ended Juan Jose Serrano, head of the Regulatory Inspection department at SGS Córdoba, who highlighted the importance of regulatory compliance to be met in an oil mill, in terms of industrial facilities. He also delved into two important topics: fire protection installations and high and low voltage electrical installations, failure to comply with these, causing possible fatal accidents.
