# Fraternidad-Muprespa participates in Jaén in Agrosecurity

On May 22 and 23, the Jaén Fair and Congress Palace hosts the IV International Meeting on Occupational Safety and Health in the Agricultural Sector and the Food Industry, in order to address the current situation and new challenges in terms of occupational, food and environmental health and safety.

X PROTXe99f2c79workshops,m icroexperiences and demonstrations.Rafael Delgado, prevention consultant, gave the workshop“Tools for effective communication in occupational risk prevention.

Delgado focused on explaining the most relevant aspects when communicating and also exposed some of the most common mistakes made in interpersonal communication. He also described some of the most useful tools to improve communication when transmitting a job safety message, so that it is effective: active analytical listening, giving sense and meaning to the message through the use of cause-effect and equivalences, and finally the use of persuasive language.

In the practical part of the workshop, Delgado applied the concepts, adapting them to the field of prevention, always keeping in mind the objective of better conveying the message, avoiding misunderstandings or non-compliance with safety regulations, and removing interpersonal conflicts.

“By improving our communication we improve our lives and we can contribute to the better implementation of preventive culture in companies,” he concluded.
