# Fraternidad-Muprespa participates in the celebration of the II workshop of the INGEPRE project

Fraternidad-Muprespa, Mutual Collaborator with Social Security, together with the Asturian Institute for the Prevention of Occupational Risks (IAPRL), and the Women's Institute, held this Wednesday in Oviedo the II workshop, within the actions integrated into the INGEPRE project, with the title "The Adequacy of work equipment and PPE for women: because gender DOES matter."

The workshop brought together for the first time and within the context of the Gender Integration in Prevention (INGEPRE) project, representatives of Asturian companies from the sectors with the highest female accident rate, prevention technicians responsible for implementing the necessary preventive measures to minimize their risks, and suppliers of Work Equipment and PPE who showed specific technical solutions for this type of accident.

Ana Fernandez, delegate of

Javier Llaneza, president of the Spanish Ergonomics Association, discussed in his presentation, entitled “Ergonomic risks with a gender perspective”, the differences between men and women from the point of view of anthropometry, biomechanics and physiological differences and how these affect the different sexes in different pathologies in the workplace.

Eva Cifre, Professor of Social Psychology at the Jaime I University of Valencia, discussed in her presentation about psychosocial risks, the different conditions of the labor market for men and women and how the greater exposure to psychosocial risks determines the greater impact on women's health, which results in pathologies such as anxiety or depression.

By holding this event, Fraternidad-Muprespa managed to try to bring together solutions with which to correct the difficulties in the preventive field in Asturian companies, in order to reduce this type of accident rate as much as possible.
