# Fraternidad-Muprespa participates in the Valeo Iluminación safety week in Martos (Jaén)

Fraternidad-Muprespa,Mutual Collaborator with Social Security, has participated in the “Week of safety, health, environment and corporate social responsibility in the companyValeo Iluminación, S.A.” de Martos (Jaén)” held from June 5 to 9, 2017.

The territorial director of the Southern Zone of the MutuaSonia Medrano Pascual, participated in the opening day with a presentation with the title“From occupational risk prevention to a healthy company”

Awareness and sensitization workshops have been held such as: “Use of personal protective equipment”, “Industrial hygiene”, “First aid”, “Healthy habits”, “Cardiovascular age” carried out by the DUEs of the MutuaMaría Luisa Jaén Expósito y Nuria Pérez Roman.

There have also been twoaccident awareness workshops“in itinere”, using immersive virtual reality. The purpose of the workshops is to raise awareness among workers, to try to reduce the accident rate associated with traffic, which they suffer when traveling to and from work.

The workshops have been taught by Mutua Prevention technicians,David Revillo Vidalesy Elena Cano García. During their development, workers have been able to live driving experiences in the face of different risk factors, using virtual reality equipment with model glasses.“Oculus Rift”as an awareness tool.

Through a practical way and without leaving the classroom, workers have been able to carry out virtual driving practices in which they have worked on associated risk factors such as alcohol, drugs, medications, distractions, adverse weather conditions, etc.

In addition to acting on the human factor through the virtual part, the day had a theoretical part with a presentation in which workers were sensitized about accident data at the national level and the consequences of traffic accidents for the injured and their families.

It has also been remembered that the vehicle is a risk factor and the importance of a correct position of the car and the maintenance of active and passive safety equipment has been practiced. The day was developed with a continuous debate around road safety and the exchange of good preventive practices.

The provincial director of Jaén,Angel Gilabert Ruíz, has attended the closing whereManuel Sanchezof general management of Valeo Iluminación, S.A., together with the members of the Management Committee, thanking our collaboration, that of the rest of the participants and that of attendees who contributed to the great success of the conference in terms of quality and audience.
