# Fraternidad-Muprespa, present at a conference on labor well-being at the UISEK of Ecuador

General

The II Conference on Psychosocial Intervention and Occupational Wellbeing, organized by the SEK International University (UISEK), brought together specialists, entities and professionals committed to occupational health and well-being management in organizations in Quito. In this framework,Fraternidad‑Muprespa had an outstanding participation through the intervention of Natalia Fernández Laviada, Deputy Director General of Prevention, Quality and Communication, who gave the presentation via video "Diversity management as a business communication and training asset".

Fernández Laviada opened his speech by recalling that diversity is, above all, “heterogeneity, dynamism, complexity and globalization… and managing it properly constitutes a decisive business challenge to avoid conflicts and convert differences into added value and competitive advantage.. His presentation defended a holistic vision of business and health, where diversity, inclusion and equity are integrated with conciliation, equality and healthy leadership, placing people at the epicenter of corporate culture.

The speaker addressed the multiple dimensions of diversity, cultural, generational, technological, functional, sexual and gender, and highlighted the need to apply the gender perspective to occupational health for social justice, in line with SDGs 3, 5 and 10, in addition to a regulatory obligation and a necessary response to the biological differences and social inequalities that persist in the work environment.

One of the central points of his intervention was the importance of recognizing and managing unconscious biases, those mental models that lead us to believe that some people or ideas are better or worse than others, and that constitute the root of discrimination and non-inclusion.

He concluded his turn with a deep and special thank you to Pablo Suasnavas, dean of the Faculty of Work Sciences and Human Behavior of UISEK and president of the Ecuadorian Society of Labor Psychosociology, for the invitation to the event and its promotion.

The day included the participation of international leaders such as Alfonsina Isabel R., coordinator of the Human Talent Master's Degree at UISEK Ecuador;Julio Tarré Intriago, general manager of Plan Vital;Claudia Espinoza Velarde, Head of Corporate Wellbeing Strategy at Marsh McLennan Peru; Pablo Suasnavas and Juan Domingo Palermo, director of the Labor Observatory in Argentina.

The meeting concluded with an invitation to reflection and business commitment: evaluate the real diversity of each organization, identify barriers and move towards more inclusive models that strengthen well-being and job security.
