The Madrid delegation of San Sebastián de los Reyes, of

Lucia Alonso, director of the San Sebastián de los Reyes Delegation, was in charge of opening the event and welcoming the attendees who were members of relevant consultancies and companies in the area.

Then the doctor Javier Arredondo, Territorial Assistance Coordinator of Madrid de la Mutua, began the information session by talking about the legislative evolution around the assessment of occupational risk during pregnancy, the protected situation, the beneficiaries and the requirements that must be met to receive the corresponding benefit. He later explained the peculiarities of this benefit, the beginning and the end of it. Finally, he detailed how this second edition of the “Guide to help assess occupational risk during pregnancy” was born, edited by the National Institute of Social Security, as a result of the conclusions of the working group formed by medical inspectors from the INSS, doctors from the nineteen Mutual Collaborators with Social Security (members of AMAT), as well as specialists from the Spanish Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics (SEGO).

After the meeting, attendees raised questions in an interesting debate on issues related to the proposed topic.
