# Interesting day in Almería. Influence of absenteeism on economic development

As a result of the collaboration agreement that the Official College of Social Graduates of Almería has subscribed with Fraternidad-Muprespa, on May 8, an interesting informative day was held under the title "Influence of Absenteeism on Economic Development: Jurisprudence, Layoffs", has brought together a significant number of professionals. The place chosen to hold the event, the assembly hall of the facilities that the Cajamar Cooperative Group has in that Andalusian provincial capital.

The day, in which the negative influence that high absenteeism rates have on companies and their impact on economic and business objectives, has been made known, has been valued positively by all attendees.

The event was inaugurated by Sergio Enrique Ruiz, Business Director D.T. of Eastern Andalusia of Cajamar, after which, he presented the content of the day Mª del Mar Ayala, president of the Official College of Social Graduates.

Subsequently, he took the floor Fernando Mena, Deputy Director of the Care Coordination and IT Control Center of Fraternidad-Muprespa, to expose, from a digital perspective, the factors that contribute to absenteeism, as well as its control and management.

Christopher Molina, professor of Labor Law and Social Security at the University of Jaén, in his turn to speak, spoke about health conditions, habitual absenteeism and work-related disabilities/disabilities. He has also outlined the statutory means of dismissal due to poor health conditions. To conclude, he has made a brief review of the latest judicial rulings issued and of interest on the matter discussed.

Finally and in closing,Sonia Medrano, Southern Territorial Director of Fraternidad-Muprespa, said goodbye to the speakers, thanking them for the professionalism demonstrated in each of the presentations. To the organizers, who have been invited to hold other events of this nature.
