# Meeting of the jury of the Escolástico Zaldívar awards to evaluate the 61 applications received

Between January 1 and February 29, the deadline for submitting candidatures to the 10th edition of the Escolástico Zaldívar 2804 Awards, which  They recognize and promote good preventive practices in the work environment, carried out by mutual companies of Fraternidad-Muprespa.

This Thursday the awards jury met to evaluate the candidates competing for the award, a total of 61.

The awards recognize associated companies highly committed to the prevention of occupational risks that demonstrate that they have carried out or are carrying out preventive actions that represent an improvement in the safety, health and well-being of their workers, beyond mere compliance with prevention regulations.

After being held in nine editions, to which more than 570 projects have participated, the Escolástico Zaldívar Awards are a true reflection of the determined commitment of mutual companies to safety and health at work.

The jury of this 10th edition has evaluated the applications presented by 55 mutual companies, which total more than 30,000 protected workers. This jury is made up of:

President:

* José María García Tomás(Real Madrid CF): member of the Board of Directors of Fraternidad-Muprespa.

Secretary:

* Jesus Mas Mayoral, director of the Center for Legal Advice and Services at Fraternidad-Muprespa.

Vowels:

* Montserrat Garcia, winner of the extraordinary award for professional career in the previous edition.
* Raúl Blanco Aira(Renfe Operadora), member of the Control and Monitoring Commission of Fraternidad-Muprespa.
* Ángel Cítores Gil(CCOO) member of the Control and Monitoring Commission of Fraternidad-Muprespa.
* José Alberto Fernández Jiménez(UGT) member of the Control and Monitoring Commission of Fraternidad-Muprespa.
* Natalia Fernández Laviada, Deputy General Director of Prevention, Quality and Communication of Fraternidad-Muprespa.

There are five award categories and in each one a first prize and up to three honorable mentions will be awarded. They are the following:

* PLUS PREVENTION: recognition of preventive improvement actions aimed at reducing occupational accidents and occupational diseases in one of the five major areas that make up occupational risk prevention: occupational safety, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, applied psychosociology or health surveillance.
* TALKING ABOUT PREVENTION: recognition of the work of communication, dissemination and promotion of prevention both internally within the company and externally.
* WE FEEL THE PREVENTION: recognition of good preventive practices related to road safety, the gender perspective, active aging, equality, diversity, inclusive occupational risk prevention for workers with special abilities, new technologies, innovation or R&D products that avoid/minimize existing occupational risks or improve the working conditions of the workplace.
* WALKING TOWARDS WELL-BEING: recognition of programs and projects to promote healthy habits among workers, both physically and emotionally, including mental health care.

There are also two extraordinary prizes:

* EXTRAORDINARY AWARD FOR PROFESSIONAL CAREER  to that person who stands out for his extensive experience and career in the world of prevention of occupational risks.
* EXTRAORDINARY AWARD TO THE ENTITY especially committed to the dissemination and promotion of prevention of occupational risks.

The delivery ceremony will take place in Madrid on April 23 starting at 12:30 p.m., in the assembly hall of the Hospital Fraternidad-Muprespa Habana.
