# NEW INFORMATION SECTION FOR THE SELF-EMPLOYED

As of the entry into force on October 12, 2007 (Law 20/2007 - B.O.E.12-7-2007) of the expected Self-Employed Work Statute ([Click here to download](#)), more than three million self-employed workers see their activity regulated, with the recognition of a set of individual and collective rights, as well as the improvement of the level of social protection.
