# Occupational disease. Assessment of suspicion with the collaboration of Fraternidad-Muprespa

On February 2, the consensus manual on occupational diseases was presented in Madrid. The event has been convened in the assembly hall of the La Princesa University Hospital, to professional experts from the Ministry of Health, National Institute of Social Security and Mutual Collaborating with Social Security (Fraternidad-Muprespa, Fremap, Asepeyo, Ibermutamur, Mutua universal and MC Mutual).

The manual, the result of several years of work and collaboration between the aforementioned entities, has served to review the main pathologies whose origin may be professional, representing progress in the complicated management of Occupational Diseases.

What is really valuable about this manual is that it has been achieved thanks to the consensus of all the parties involved in the description of the diagnostic criteria.

As the doctor comments Eva Manzano, director of the Health Management department of Fraternidad-Muprespa, and as a professional involved in the preparation of this guide (collaborating in the writing of several chapters and being part of the editorial committee), “ It will undoubtedly be very useful for healthcare activity in its different areas.”.

We also highlight the contribution of Fernando Cuevas Moreno and Antonio Ortega Díaz de Ceballos, mutual doctors from the Mutua who have collaborated in two of the chapters of the manual.
