# The Illustrious Ramón y Cajal Academy of Health Sciences honors Doctor Eduardo Hevia Sierra

The Illustrious Ramón y Cajal Academy of Health Sciences has distinguished the Doctor Eduardo Hevia Sierra with the appointment of Numerary Academic for their dedication, scientific contribution and contribution to the professional development of the world of medicine.

Since 2002 he has been the head of the Spine Unit at the Fraternidad-Muprespa Habana Hospital in Madrid.

His more than 30 years of experience have led him to specialize in spinal surgeries and he has been a promoter of very important advances in this field of work, such as the COPLANAR system for the aesthetic correction of scoliosis. He is also a specialist in spinal fracture, vertebral disc herniation, lumbar disc herniation, vertebroplasty and scoliosis.

Member of the European and national professional associations of Traumatology and Spinal Pathology, he always has research in mind and now, from the Academy, he will actively participate in its development.
