# The LEED-Digital Fraternidad-Muprespa Havana Hospital, presented at the Hospital Engineering Congress

Last October 17-19, the National Congress of Hospital Engineering.

Fraternidad-Muprespa has presented two presentations in which they have described the two most notable aspects of the construction of the new Fraternidad-Muprespa Havana Hospital.

The first of them was the LEED certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). It would be the first hospital in Spain to obtain this certificate, which distinguishes buildings that accredit excellence in the management of environmental aspects during design and construction.

Olvido Arenas, director of the Production, Systems and Communications department, explained the work involved in opting for this certification, and the advantages that arise for the environmental quality of patients and employees.

The other notable aspect is the Hospital's digital capacity, since it has been planned that all processes, both healthcare and patient management, will be supported by state-of-the-art digital technologies.Pedro Serrera, deputy director general of Information Systems and Services, has detailed the main systems that have been planned in the new Hospital, which will soon open its doors.
