# Towards a unique world in communication, also in prevention. Conference held in Santander

> Promoting preventive awareness among our interest groups: mutual companies, collaborators, protected workers and employees, is one of the great strategic objectives of this Mutual.

On April 5, Fraternidad-Muprespa of Cantabria in collaboration with the Cantabrian Institute of Safety and Health at Work(ICASST), has held an information day, which with the suggestive title “ Towards a Singular World in Communication, also in Prevention” has brought together managers, Prevention technicians and other professionals from companies from different sectors at the ICASST headquarters in the city of Santander, practically completing the capacity of the auditorium of said headquarters.

Amalio Sanchez, director of ICASST, was in charge of presenting the event, which wanted, first of all, to highlight the importance of prevention in company and before giving way to the speakers, he thanked all those attending for their presence.

The day, divided into three modules, was started by Natalia Fdez. Laviada, Deputy General Director of Prevention, Quality and Communication of He highlighted the importance of new technologies in prevention and finally mentioned “emotions” and how to know how to use them to positively influence the culture of prevention.

Subsequently,Jose Luis Haro, Senior Occupational Risk Prevention technician at Fraternidad-Muprespa of Malaga, has been in charge of developing the following presentation, with effective communication in Occupational Risk Prevention being the topic to highlight. It is not only about transmitting a message, but also ensuring that message is correctly understood by the people in our organization. Furthermore, and the most difficult thing, is that it is assumed and shared. In addition to communication itself, what is important is persuasion, achieving the establishment of a culture of prevention.

He then took the floor Jose Beltran, Senior Occupational Risk Prevention Technician at Fraternidad-Muprespa of Asturias. He has spoken of “Emotional Intelligence” as a method to combat stress and tension, factors that contribute to workplace accidents. In his presentation, he also highlighted such important elements as image, non-verbal communication and assertive leadership. Finally, he gave clues about the attitude that the organization should adopt.company in the face of occupational risks and how to generate empathy in prevention management.
