# "V Meetings for Equality" in Gijón with the participation of Fraternidad-Muprespa

Day review

On March 5,Natalia Fernández Laviada, Deputy General Director of Prevention, Quality and Communication of Fraternidad-Muprespa and representing the Mutua, has attended the Jovellanos Faculty of Gijón, where she participated in the event "V Meetings for Equality"They have collaborated in the organization of these meetings,The University of Oviedo and the Gijón City Council.

With the suggestive day titled "Women's Entrepreneurship", she has exhaustively analyzed the concept of entrepreneurship, "the ability to take risks sets an idea in motion" and the factors that determine that women are less entrepreneurial than men, at which time she cited the well-known American entrepreneur Ingrid Vanderveldt and the so-called perfectionism syndrome "women want to be fully prepared and know 100% of what they are talking about." Subsequently, it analyzed the barriers that women entrepreneurs encounter in accessing financing, a concept called "second glass ceiling". And he has made reference to the "womenomics" phenomenon. To conclude her presentation, she has provided the data that Asturias provides on the work activity of women in the self-employed labor market.

Throughout the morning and following the event program, various exhibitions were held.

Firstly, a two-voice conference, starring Natalia Fernández Laviada and Patricia Oreña Viadero, president of the Association of Self-Employed Workers of Asturias.

They have subsequently intervened,Beatriz Junquera Cimadevilla, director of the Capgemini-Caja Rural de Asturias Chair of Entrepreneurship and Professor of Business Organization at the Faculty of Economics and Company, Carmen Moreno Llaneza, manager of the Union of Merchants of Asturias.,Mª Antonia Álvarez Suárez president of the Association Company Woman and Felisa Soria Caro, head of the Equality Policy Office of the Gijón City Council, who have debated in a round table about the increasingly common alternative of self-employment as a model to contribute to equality and conciliation.

Finally Almudena Cueto Sanchez, general director of the Asturian Women's Institute, has carried out an interesting review of the evolution of the ten years of validity of the Equality Law.

The conferences have been inaugurated, on behalf of the three organizing organizations, the University of Oviedo, the Oviedo City Council and Fraternidad-Muprespa, by Santiago García Granda, Felisa Soria Caro and Natalia Fernandez Laviada, respectively.

Finally, to close the day, they took the floor,Jose Ignacio Diaz Lucas, territorial director of the northern zone of Fraternidad-Muprespa and Cristina Lopez Duarte, vice dean of the Jovellanos Faculty, who have highlighted the value of holding these meetings and have thanked everyone, organizers, speakers and the general public for their presence and interest in the development of the day.
