Fraternidad-Muprespa and AXA Foundation join forces to promote safety at work

Fundación AXA and The sample of 50 posters on occupational safety published in our country since the beginning of the 20th century will travel in the coming months to several Spanish cities such as Santander, Alicante, Murcia, Oviedo or Vigo, among others.

Josep Alfonso, general director of the AXA Foundation, states that "the agreement with “Prevention is the great tool to protect what matters,” he added.

Natalia Fernández Laviada, deputy general director of Prevention, Quality and Communication of Fraternidad-Muprespa, highlights the fundamental role of this alliance in promoting preventive awareness. “All our initiatives are framed in developing well-being in companies, with a safe work environment, excluding factors that may affect physical or mental health,” he added.

The reproductions, in real size, allow us to see through them, the evolution that the image of occupational risk prevention has had from those dates to the present day. 

VECA & MUGO, which has a total of more than 7,000 posters to which its curator, Carlos Velasco, has dedicated a significant effort to their study and conservation.

The beauty of the images, the clarity and simplicity of the message, the visual impact of the scenes, the color, the quality of the lithographic printing, and the known authorship of many of the posters (recognized authors such as Casas, Poly or Gual, among others) make them a work of art.

For many, being able to see a chocolate, a bicycle or a sewing machine from the time on brightly colored paper, remains today an experience almost as attractive as it was at the beginning of the 20th century.

The poster in this case was used as a teaching resource at a time when access to information was very limited. Through high-impact images and short texts, they captured the attention of workers with the aim of serving as a tool to spread the preventive culture. 

Thanks to these reproductions, an interesting dissemination of good practices in companies was achieved, promoting an approach of society to the culture of prevention, and sharing the vision of a world without accidents, promoting health education in organizations.

With this agreement, both entities promote an initiative that has been taking place since 2016, with public success, in more than twenty locations spread throughout Spain.
