I Open days of the EP group of the Interterritorial Safety and Health at Work Network

On September 24, 2025, the I Open Conference of the Occupational Diseases Group of the Interterritorial Network for Safety and Health at Work will take place in Zaragoza in which some of the activities carried out by the group will be announced.

The Interterritorial Network of Safety and Health at Work is the body of coordination and participation between the National Institute of Safety and Health at Work and the Autonomous Administrations competent in safety and health at work, within which is formed, among others, the Group of Occupational Diseases, whose mission is to improve knowledge of the behavior, distribution and causes of occupational diseases that allow establishing strategies not only for the protection and prevention of the health of people at work but also for contribute to the progress of companies and society.

The protection of the health of workers and the prevention of occupational diseases are essential pillars of our labor model, which is evident in the Spanish Strategy for Safety and Health at Work 2023-2027.

Objective 1 includes the prevention of work-related diseases, with special emphasis on occupational cancer, through actions to improve the identification and diagnosis of occupational diseases, their notification and registration, and their epidemiological knowledge. Likewise, within objective 4, it includes those initiatives that facilitate employability and return to work, paying special attention to people who have overcome cancer or other diseases.

These sessions are an opportunity to make visible the work being done to fulfill these objectives. This is a key event in which experts, companies and professionals from different fields will share innovative strategies to understand and prevent occupational diseases and contribute to maintaining and returning to work after suffering an illness.
