The IV Work Road Safety Week begins in Fraternidad-Muprespa
Coinciding with the celebration of the World Day of Traffic Accident Victims, which this year is celebrated on November 21, in Fraternidad-Muprespa we launch the IV Workplace Road Safety Week (SVL) from November 15 to 21.
It is evident that the pandemic has reduced the data on work-related road accidents in Spain due to mobility restrictions, but also that we are facing new mobility trends when it comes to preventing road accidents such as the use of individual vehicles versus collective transport, teleworking, the increase in electronic commerce, electric cars and hybrids in large cities, new means of personal mobility such as scooters, and the sharing of cars or motorcycles.
And despite these changes in our mobility, what does not change are the old enemies of road safety related to the human factor, such as the intake of alcohol, drugs and psychotropic drugs, which account for 50% of the drivers who died during 2020 and which will be the main topic that we will address in this IV edition, which is why the motto we have chosen this year is: "Nothing is more urgent than your life."
As the in-person actions motivated by health recommendations have not yet been resumed, the actions we will carry out will have a marked digital accent in those we will seek s___sensitize our associated companies to reduce workplace road accidents.
In this edition we will continue with the collaboration agreement with Aesleme, Stop Accidentes and Fundación CNAE, and the joint alliances with the General Directorate of Traffic and other entities related to occupational road safety. In addition, we will have the collaboration of the Axa Foundation and its connection with the Ponle Freno program and the associated company Spanish Red Cross.
