Another challenge achieved by Fraternidad-Muprespa, enerTIC award for its energy efficiency

Fraternidad-Muprespa has been the winner of the award enerTIC in the category Smart Sustainability, for the project “Outsourcing of energy services”.

The awards ceremony took place in the auditorium of the Ministry of Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda, chaired by José María Lassalle, Secretary of State for the Information Society and Digital Agenda. The award has been collected Jorge Vidal, director of the Information Systems Security department, who was accompanied by Natalia Fernandez, deputy general director of prevention, quality and communication of the Mutua.

The Fraternidad-Muprespa project has been the winner of the four finalists in its category, Aguas de Murcia, Creara and Experis IT.

The project consists of the complete outsourcing of energy services to a single provider, Telefónica Soluciones, with a duration of 4 years, extendable to 6. These services, applied to its network of centers, include electricity supply, maintenance and energy operation.

During the duration of this process, investments are being made to reduce energy consumption and improve comfort. The main saving measures being taken are the renovation of lighting to LED, and the implementation of Telefónica's HYDRA energy control system, a cloud solution that has several layers of service, monitoring, remote control and dashboard.

The installed system has remote management capabilities for air conditioning, extraction and lighting in the centers. The information collected by this system is presented so that decisions can be made for continuous improvement.

The improvement in energy efficiency will translate at the end of the implementation into an estimated baseline consumption saving of 11% on average, as well as a reduction of 1GWh and 3,080 tons of CO2 per year.

Fraternidad-Muprespa continues to focus on energy efficient solutions with a clear environmental focus.
