Barcelona welcomes the “Accidents and Prevention” poster exhibition
Fraternidad-Muprespa has inaugurated the 20th Century Prevention Posters exhibition in Barcelona. The 50 posters, designed at the beginning of the 20th century and designed with great graphic content, belong to the VECA & MUGO Collection, which tried to teach and inform the population, and especially the workers, about the care they must take in the development of their profession.
The Provincial director of Fraternidad-Muprespa in Barcelona,Jordi Batalla, officially opened the exhibition and explained how prevention was key in the industrialization of Barcelona. The exhibition brings together various posters, the first of which dates from 1905, as explained Miguel Angel Quesada, director of the Communication and Institutional Relations department of Fraternidad-Muprespa, during the event, which took place last Friday, July 19. Quesada made an interesting explanation about the intention of said posters, their location in workplaces, as well as the search and location of such relevant documentation.
The exhibition, free of charge, is located at the Barcelona-France Railway Station and can be visited until July 28. Of a traveling nature, the exhibition promotes preventive culture and has already been seen in different Spanish airports, such as those in Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Las Palmas, Málaga, Madrid and Palma de Mallorca, as well as in the Chamartín railway stations in Madrid, Córdoba, Zaragoza-Delicias, Valladolid Campo Grande, Sevilla-Santa Justa and Logroño, within the framework of the Adif Open Station Program.
This Program is Adif's main instrument to materialize collaboration with the third sector, making available, free of charge, an excellent platform (every year more than 15 million people pass through Adif stations) to carry out activities that help them achieve their objectives, while the stations increase their value for citizens by providing them with cultural, social or environmental content.
