Conference of the College of Social Graduates of Alicante and Fraternidad-Muprespa: PREL, CUME and RETA
Fraternidad-Muprespa participated on Wednesday, October 26, in the online conference "Benefit for risk of pregnancy and breastfeeding, child care benefit and professional contingency for self-employed workers" organized by the College of Social Graduates of Alicante, with the virtual assistance of fifty labor advisors from across the province. Its president María Antonia Oliva Verdú thanked the attendees for their participation and the Mutual Society for its willingness to disseminate this matter among the members.
Alejandra Alonso de Castañeda Marín, head of the Mutual Allegations and Advice Area, has broken down in the first part of her presentation the main characteristics of the benefits known as PREL, which encompasses the risk benefit during pregnancy and the risk benefit during breastfeeding: its nature, the amount, its possible beneficiaries and the procedure to request them, ___
In the second part of his presentation he analyzed the benefit for the care of minors affected by cancer or another serious illness, known as CUME: its nature, the amount, its possible beneficiaries, the moment of birth of the benefit and its duration, and the cases of its suspension and termination.
Finally, Alejandra reviewed some points of professional contingency in the special regime for RETA self-employed workers, alluding to its historical evolution and dwelling on aspects such as the reversal of the burden of proof in the work accident, the accident in itinere, or the peculiarities of the economically dependent self-employed worker or TRADE.
The day ended after the usual question time moderated by Eloy Ávila Lacalle, provincial director of the Mutua in Alicante, who thanked the president of the College for organizing the day and all the participants for attending it.
