Dr. Bada participates in the 42nd Congress of the Spanish Society of Foot and Ankle Medicine and Surgery

The Spanish Society of Foot and Ankle Medicine and Surgery held the 42nd edition of the SEMCPT Congress in Alicante on June 9, 10 and 11.

The Dr. José Luis Bada Jaime, traumatologist from the main Barcelona delegation of Fraternidad-Muprespa, has presented a poster on “Rupture of the peroneal tendon at the myotendinous junction”. A poster made together with Dr. Gabriel Cano García, provincial Medical Director of Barcelona, Sara Calderón Cabiro and Alejandro Moreno Coll physiotherapists of the same delegation.

During his intervention, Dr. Bada explained how ruptures of this type of tendon are one of the complications that can occur after a sprain and described how it is treated in the Mutual.

International expert speakers have participated in the congress and topics such as injuries to the Chopart joint, ankle arthrodesis or controversies and scientific evidence in ankle fractures have been reviewed: medial lateral, posterior malleolus and syndesmosis, among other pathologies of interest.

One of the most outstanding presentations was that of Dr. Scott Ellis orthopedic surgeon at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, who has participated in the table on hallux valgus and has shared his studies in a keynote conference with the title "Overcoming the limits in the treatment of progressive flatfoot deformity in adults."

Fraternidad-Muprespa is concerned with the interest of continuous training and updating of techniques to improve the performance of our professionals, with the interest of providing maximum benefit to the mutual benefit patients we serve and sharing knowledge at the community level to achieve universal health coverage, a purpose aligned with number 3 of the SDG, “Health and Well-being”.
