The Mutual Collaborator with Social Security held the 10th edition of these awards dedicated to the promotion of safety and health at work in the auditorium of the Hospital Fraternidad-Muprespa Habana.
The speech of Carlos Espinosa de los Monteros, president of the Mutual Fund, began the presentation ceremony by highlighting the figure of
Natalia Fdez. Laviada, Deputy General Director of Prevention, Quality and Communication of the Mutua, was in charge of conducting the delivery ceremony and presenting the winning companies:
- Hempel Paints, “Plus Prevention” category, for 'Safety Excellence', the company's global safety program, whose objective is to approach workplace accidents not as a failure but as an opportunity for improvement.
- Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum, category “Walking towards well-being”, for its ‘Healthy Thyssen’ wellness program based on the promotion of healthy eating, physical activity programs and well-being care, generating a new culture of flexible work.
- Siderúrgica Balboa, “Talking about Prevention” category, for using a direct, didactic and entertaining way to make occupational risks visible.
- Kaefer Servicios Industriales, “We Feel Prevention” category, for the development of an ergonomic health program that, through devices and avatars, evaluates harmful or inappropriate postures and has reduced incorrect movements by up to 25%.
José María García Tomás, president of the Awards jury, and HR director of Real Madrid, was in charge of presenting the extraordinary awards. The award for professional excellence went to Manel Bestraten, in recognition of its decades of dedication to occupational safety, health and well-being from the National Institute of Safety and Health at Work, and the Extraordinary Award for the Entity or Organization committed to the prevention of occupational risks, which has gone to the International Labor Organization, ILO, for its commitment to the dissemination and promotion of the prevention of occupational risks.
