Fraternidad-Muprespa Almería celebrates a conference on nanomaterials and nanotechnology
Fraternidad-Muprespa held a conference on nanomaterials and nanotechnology last Friday at the Occupational Risk Prevention Center of the Junta de Andalucía in Almería. The day was held in collaboration with the Territorial Delegation of Employment, Training, Self-Employment, Economy, Knowledge, Business and University.
The Provincial General Secretary of Employment, Business and Commerce,Jose Manuel Merino, opened the day, thanking both the Mutual Fund and the Prevention Center for holding the event.
Subsequently Miguel Angel Quesada, director of the Department of Communication and Institutional Relations of the Mutua, introduced the speaker,Carmen Alvarado, technical coordinator of the General Subdirectorate of Prevention, Quality and Communication of the Mutua.
In his presentation, Alvarado addressed the basic concepts, tools for occupational health and safety in this area, as well as the new guides and applicable legislation. He also introduced basic concepts about the handling of drones and their multiple applications, awakening the interest of more than fifty Prevention technicians, health personnel and occupational health managers who attended the event.
During the day, special emphasis was placed on the importance of carrying out a good evaluation as a basic starting point to focus on the actions and measures that must be implemented. “We must try to prevent, rather than protect,” he stated. To close the event Alfonso Gerez, technician at Fraternidad-Muprespa in Almería, thanked the attendees for their presence and participation in the day.
