Fraternidad-Muprespa at the 23rd SETLA Congress in Seville

Fraternidad-Muprespahas participated in the annual event of reference for occupational traumatology in Spain,he XXIII National Congress of the Spanish Society of Occupational Traumatology, SETLA, that has been celebrated the days  November 28 and 29, in it  Barceló Sevilla Convention Center.

More than 30 health professionals from the network of centers and the Fraternidad-Muprespa Havana Hospital, through presentations, communications and posters, have shared their research in the field of traumatology, nursing, physiotherapy and general medicine, providing a multidisciplinary vision of care for trauma patients in the workplace.

In the area of traumatology, The first participation in the congress began with the Dr. Pablo García Parra, traumatologist from the main delegation of Seville with the presentation "Management of ankle fractures. When should surgery be done? Ottawa ankle rules" at the I official SEMCPT Collaboration table: Foot and ankle fractures, as a result of a work accident. In addition, he has participated as an evaluator of free communications Traumatologists III.

He Dr. Adolfo Mares Santos, Provincial Medical Director of Seville, has participated in the debate table: Ankle instability in the workplace with the presentation "Associated injuries: peroneal tendons" and has also moderated the free communications of Traumatology I, in which they have presented: the Dr. Javier Chacón García, MIR R3 of the Hospital Fraternidad-Muprespa Habana, communication "Results of superior shoulder capsular reconstruction in patients with rotator cuff tears in the workplace"; the Dr. Lourdes Pardo Franco, Territorial Assistance Coordinator of the Centro-Grandes Mutualistas territorial directorate, communication "The objective of the objective is not the objective: CC waves."

In the free communications of Traumatology II, the Dr. Guillermo José Tarnawski Spanish, MIR R2 of the Hospital Fraternidad-Muprespa Habana, has presented the communication "Distal Tibial Fractures: Extended Anteromedial Approach and Return to Work".

He Dr. Álvaro Minuesa Asensio, head of the Traumatology Service at the Fraternidad-Muprespa Habana Hospital, participated with the presentation "Surgical treatment" at the II official table: Management of shoulder pathology in the workplace.

The Dr. Marta Pérez Rodríguez, MIR R5 of the Hospital Fraternidad-Muprespa Habana, has presented the communication "Increase in rotator cuff tears. Is it useful for patients in the workplace? a narrative review in the communications contest: Impact of rotator cuff pathology in the workplace. And in the Clinical Cases of Healthcare Physicians and Traumatologists II, it has presented "About a case: infraspinatus atrophy in a volleyball player without electromyographic alterations"

In the field of healthcare medicine we start with himDr. Andrés Molina Villarán, Healthcare Physician of the main delegation of Seville, who has chaired the official table of Healthcare Physicians I and II, in which theDr. M.ª del Carmen Pérez Varo,Healthcare doctor from the Lucena delegation (Córdoba), has participated with the presentation "Contingency determination".

We also highlight the intervention ofDr. José Ignacio Mora Blanco, director of the Medical Management Center, who has presented the case "Is it a work accident without injury?" in the workshop of healthcare doctors: Practical approach to contingency determination. As Dr. Mora explained "This case raises the debate on the definition of a work accident according to article 156 of the General Social Security Law, 

The case illustrates the importance of an exhaustive clinical analysis and updated knowledge of regulations and medical guidelines to determine if an incident can be considered a work accident, expanding the reflection on work-related illnesses and intercurrent factors.

Systematic literature review and meta-analysis; and theDr. José Javier Pueyo Otal, Territorial Assistance Coordinator of the Northeast Territorial Directorate, who has presented "My Frater Patient: Promoting health." In free communications Medical Assistance I, l a Dr. Mª Fernanda Gonsalesa Batorina, Healthcare doctor from the Ripollet (Barcelona) delegation, has presented the communication "Fractures of the fifth metatarsal. Our experience" y the Dr. Catalina Piqueras Sánchez, Territorial Assistance Coordinator of the Northeast Territorial Directorate, has presented the communication "Descriptive analysis of scooter accidents in the context of a work accident."

Furthermore, they have attendedMª José Pérez Ochoa, Territorial Assistance Coordinator of the Meseta Sur Territorial Directorate andSandra Milena Osorio Agudelo, head of the CP Temporary Disability Area of ​​the Medical Management Center who has participated in several of the studies presented.

As for the SETLA posters, he Dr. José Luis Bada Jaime, traumatologist from the main Barcelona delegation, presented three posters:"Posterior syndesmosis injury. Weight-bearing CT as a diagnostic key", "Atypical hammertoe" y "Injuries to the peroneal tendons and their surgical resolution. Analysis of a series of cases"; he Dr. Reinaldo Marquez, which has also presented three posters:"Improvement of care management in consultations of mutual collaborators of Social Security through the EFQM model: Optimization of processes, patient satisfaction and operational efficiency", "Evaluation of the patient with painful shoulder: comparative analysis of the findings by ultrasound and magnetic resonance for the diagnosis of shoulder injuries" and "Ultrasound findings in the study of the wrist in the workplace"; he Dr. Guillermo Tarnawski, has presented the poster "Four cases of migratory bone edema"; and the Dr. Mª Victoria Serrano Samperio, Healthcare doctor from the Fuengirola (Málaga) delegation, presented the poster "The importance of comprehensive communication in the medical field."

In the area of nursing, has participated Marina Fernandez Morales, Consultation nurse of the Hospital Fraternidad-Muprespa Habana as president in the defense of Nursing posters.

Regarding the posters presented,Sandra Alegre Jodar, coordinator of the Medical Management Center, presented the poster"Improvement in the management of sick leave due to temporary disability in common contingency (ITCC): implementation of a digital questionnaire for nursing" y Ana Tamayo Cano, nurse from the main Barcelona delegation, presented the poster"Untreated vascular ulcers and the essential role of nursing clinical case of a worker with serious complications due to the absence of initial evaluation."

And to finish Francisca León Mejías, consultation nurse at the Fraternidad-Muprespa Habana Hospital, has participated in the Debridement nursing workshop.

In the space of physiotherapy We begin participation in the congress with Jesus M. Gallardo Moreno, physiotherapist from the Puente Genil delegation (Córdoba), who has participated in the"Discussion table. CRPS, beyond the physiotherapy approach."

Javier Lorenzo Medranda, physiotherapist at the San Sebastián de los Reyes (Madrid) delegation, has participated as an evaluator in the free communications Physiotherapy I and II, in which communications have been presented:Sara Calderon Cabiro, physiotherapist of the main Barcelona delegation, has presented "Clinical Case: Early rehabilitation in anterior glenohumeral dislocation with combined Hill-Sachs, Bankart, and Greater Tuberculosis injuries. Effectiveness of the CCC axis + Scapular Plane + Maximum Compression" y Yolanda Collado Teruel, physiotherapist of the main Madrid delegation, has presented the communication"Is our interaction more important than our intervention?: Pain Neuroscience Education Program (PNE) and therapeutic exercise in chronic pain."

In defense of Physiotherapy posters,Laura Valtueña Príncipe, supervisor of the main Madrid delegation, has participated as president and evaluator.

Fraternidad-Muprespa in this 23rd edition of the SETLA congress, has demonstrated its commitment to innovation and constant improvement in the field of occupational traumatology, addressing from a comprehensive approach the issues raised in the current panorama and providing knowledge from a multidisciplinary perspective, with the aim of highlighting the strategies that offer a more efficient quality of care for the patients we care for at the Mutua.
