Fraternidad-Muprespa collaborates in a conference on asbestos: health risk and obligations

On June 14, the Mutual Collaborator with Social Security Fraternidad-Muprespa has participated in a training day organized by the Jaén Occupational Risk Prevention Center about the "Asbestos. Health risk and obligations".

The inauguration of the event was carried out  Manuel Soriano, director of the Jaén Occupational Risk Prevention Center.

Below is the senior technician in Occupational Risk Prevention of the Mutua Victor Fernandez Rodriguez, has developed the guidelines to follow in maintenance work and/or removal of materials with asbestos, detailing the regulatory requirements in the preparation of the Work Plan, the training needs, and the necessary risk assessments.

Then they took the floor Fernando Cortes Ponce head of service of the General Directorate of Labor Relations and Safety and Health in Jaén and Ana María Cárdenas de la Torre, head of the Promotion and Studies area of ​​the Jaén Occupational Risk Prevention Center, who have made some interesting presentations in which they have addressed the risks caused by exposure to respirable fibers during the handling of materials that contain asbestos, such as demolition work, cutting, drilling, breaking, as well as the exposure derived from the aging of the material.
