Fraternidad-Muprespa debate on AI, cybersecurity and data protection at CyberHealth&Pharma Summit
Fraternidad-Muprespa participated last week in CyberHEALTH&PHARMA Summit 2025, a meeting focused on addressing, through the vision of experts, the main points on data security and analyzing the latest technologies and strategies regarding Cybersecurity and Risk Management in the social and healthcare sector.
The event, organized by MICE Global Solutions, with the institutional support of the Catalan Cybersecurity Agency and INCIBE, is aimed at companies in the hospital, insurance and public health sectors, and had more than 40 speakers.
Luis Martínez del Pino, director of the Information Systems Security Department of Fraternidad-Muprespa, participated in the panel "Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: New Threats and Defenses in Cybersecurity"sharing his experience at the Mutua with other experts.
Martínez del Pino focused on three key aspects, based on underlining the urgency of addressing AI not only as a tool of innovation, but also as an ethical and technical challenge that requires collaboration between experts, companies and regulators:
- AI in companies and how it can be understood as an ally or a threat in terms of cybersecurity since it can strengthen defensive systems but also open new avenues for more sophisticated attacks.
- Data protection in Generative AI: In sensitive sectors such as healthcare, regulations and the critical nature of the data determine the pace of innovation. The ethical and secure management of information is an essential pillar.
- Balance between speed and security, through practical advice to combine time-to-market with the protection of systems, highlighting the importance of integrating security from the design.
Also participating in the panel were Carlos Valderrama, by Straumann Group, Dani Perez, director of cybersecurity at Hyperion Materials & Technologies, and Paul Julia, director of Global Data and Technology. The session was moderated by Fernando Denis Ramirez.
