Fraternidad-Muprespa participates in CCOO in Madrid in a conference on mutuals
Fraternidad-Muprespa participated on December 13 in the “Mutual Collaborators with Social Security” conference organized by CCOO of Madrid on the work of these entities and their legally attributed powers.
The day was presented by Paloma López Bermejo, General Secretary of CCOO of Madrid, and on behalf of the Mutua, Dr. José Ignacio Mora, director of the Center for Assistance Coordination and Control of Temporary Disability, intervened, who focused his intervention on the Social Security benefits for Temporary Disability due to Common Contingency, with numerous data on their cost, the monthly incidence by autonomous communities of processes initiated, the average duration of those completed and the waiting times for both surgery and consultations in the Public Health System. Mora also explained the ITCC sick leave management model, specifying the role of the mutual insurance companies, the National Institute of Social Security and Public Health Services, as well as the regulations by which it is governed, and detailed the power of the mutual insurance companies to act on the common contingency of the worker from the first day, for example by carrying out diagnostic tests or treatments that avoid prolonging waits, with authorization from the patient and the SPS.
