Fraternidad-Muprespa participates in the National Congress of Ergonomics and Psychosociology
Natalia Fdez. Laviada, deputy general director of Prevention, Quality and Communication of Fraternidad-Muprespa, participated on October 27 in the XII National Congress of Ergonomics and Psychosociology. The event, which began the day before, took place in Avilés and was organized by the Asturian Ergonomics Association and the Spanish Ergonomics Association.
The event revolved around the concept “Between what is said and what is done.” The conference by Fdez.
"51% of EU workers consider it common to have stress at work. For 80% of managers this is something that seriously worries them, but only a third of companies have procedures to avoid it," said Fdez. Laviada in his presentation. "Given that stress is not a good work companion, it causes incidents, illnesses, accidents, errors... there is a lot to do about it because it is so linked to daily work that it becomes invisible. We do not see it and we accept it," he explained.
From their point of view, the challenges to overcome these situations are the evaluation of the work environment, with special attention to ergonomics and the prevention of occupational risks, and the improvement of the psychosocial environment (flexibility of schedules, family conciliation, work reorganization or imposing measures against harassment and conflict, among others). Also the incorporation of healthy habits, such as exercise, healthy eating, rest and the eradication of harmful behaviors.
