Fraternidad-Muprespa pays close to 12 million euros to self-employed workers in October
On October 30, Fraternidad-Muprespa made the payment corresponding to the new benefits reflected in Royal Decree Law 30/2020 on social measures in defense of employment, in favor of the self-employed workers most affected by the consequences of the COVID-19 crisis.In total, 13,305 benefits were recognized with a total amount of 11,890,541 million euros.
There are four new measures. The first of them is the extension until next January 31 of the special benefit for cessation of activity, provided for in article 9 of RDL 24/2020. The second is intended to guarantee a minimum income to self-employed workers who are affected by the suspension of their activity by virtue of an administrative resolution. The third measure consists of a subsidy intended for those workers who anticipate a strong reduction in the fourth quarter and do not have the necessary deficiency to access any other cessation of activity benefit. Finally, the creation of new aid is contemplated for seasonal self-employed workers, in the second semester, who have seen their activity reduced due to the current health and economic crisis.
Accumulated payment of benefits
With respect to the total number of benefits paid by Fraternidad-Muprespa between the months of March and October, the total amount is 272,562,099.34. 114,883 extraordinary benefits were recognized intended for self-employed workers who met the various specific requirements of each of the types of provision.
The largest amounts were paid, in this order, in the Autonomous Communities of Andalusia, Community of Madrid, Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla y León and Valencian Community.
