José Ignacio Mora participates in the IRSST conference on the classification of Occupational Diseases
The Regional Institute of Safety and Health at Work (IRSST) of the Community of Madrid, held a virtual conference on April 25 with the title “Understanding the picture of occupational diseases” framed in the actions of the Safety and Health Week. Health. A day with the purpose of bringing closer the structure and organization of the Table of Occupational Diseases regulated by the RD. 1299/2006,
The event was inaugurated by Teresa Moreno Carmona, head of the IRSST Technical Training and Awareness Unit, who highlighted the importance of notification and investigation of occupational diseases in companies, highlighting the interest in knowing the problems of detecting this type of contingency.
On behalf of José Ignacio Mora, explained in his presentation “The role of the Mutual Fund in the classification of Occupational Diseases”, the need to value the collaboration established between the Prevention Services of the companies, the doctors of the Public Health Service and the Mutual Funds Collaborating with Social Security, some detecting suspicions and others carrying out the study to confirm the contingency.

Then the Dra. Mayelin Navarro Scott, Healthcare Director of the Grupo Pensa Medical Service for AXA Seguros, shared in her presentation on “Glaucoma as an invisible threat”, the importance of carrying out health promotion campaigns as an opportunity to make possible diseases visible professionals.
To end the day, Dra. Ana María Rodríguez Gómez has shared a vision of the Table of Occupational Illnesses for people who are not health and safety professionals.
