More than 250,000 visitors have seen “I+p innovating in prevention”, an exhibition of advances that save lives

There are already more than 250,000 people who have visited the exhibition in the Science Park, inaugurated at the end of last year, composed of 17 modules that bring together technological advances aimed at improving people's lives, ensuring their safety and health to avoid accidents or illnesses.

The exhibition covers technological advances that have minimized or eliminated risks for people during the development of their activity, individual or collective, from complex innovations based on the Internet of Things or artificial intelligence, to satellite and space intervention.

In the words of Antonio José Millán, curator of the exhibition, “the exhibition brings together democratic devices that support and do not eliminate work. For example, in the service sector, we exhibit ergonomic keyboards […] or PPE capable of resisting more than 1000 degrees of temperature”.

Millán also highlights that among the objects in the exhibition there are some that do not come from large corporations nor do they have their origin in large budgets. As an example, a device to prevent tractor overturns or a home assistance device, which is placed in the refrigerator and warns if no activity is recorded, since the exhibition also “addresses risk prevention in the home.”

The director of the Granada Science Park, _Luis Alcalá, has highlighted that "the Science Park values and transmits prevention sciences as a safeguard of the health, life and integrity of people. In this context, innovation becomes an ally of safety in all areas of activity of the Aware of such social utility, the Park became a unique museum in Spain by having promoted a large permanent exhibition dedicated to the culture of prevention and regularly hosts innovative temporary exhibitions, as is the case of I+P”.

For his part, Fernando Lazuén, director of the Center for Occupational Risk Prevention of Granada, has shown his “satisfaction with the great reception of the exhibition in a Science Park that is the most visited museum in Andalusia”, highlighting the importance of “give visibility to occupational safety, health and well-being through this type of initiatives”.
