New CATA-COVID benefits for self-employed workers included in RDL 2/2021, of January 26
On January 27, 2021, the BOE published the Royal Decree-Law 2/2021, of January 26, to reinforce and consolidate social measures in defense of employment which includes, among other issues, the new extraordinary benefits for cessation of activity for self-employed workers.
These new benefits represent continuity with those developed in RD-Law 30/2020 that accrue until January 31, but some nuances have been introduced that make access to them more flexible and favorable; Among the most relevant is the extension of the deadline to request benefits up to 21 calendar days without losing any days.
We will shortly provide more detailed information on the modifications that have been carried out and provide access to the application forms for the new benefits.
