Juan Leal recovers at the Fraternidad-Muprespa healthcare center in Seville after his serious goring

The French bullfighter Juan Leal He is in the process of recovery after the incident he suffered in Las Ventas on May 27. After hospital admission in Madrid Hospital Fraternidad-Muprespa Havana, the right-hander has started, at the Mutua healthcare center in Seville, the rehabilitation indicated by the doctor who operated on him,  Máximo García Padrós. 

Now he has begun to take the first steps in a process that can be "slow and painful", according to the team of physiotherapists who cares for him. In a video recorded in the Seville center, Leal wanted to thank all the Fraternidad-Muprespa staff in Madrid and Seville for the treatment he received and the dedication with which they are helping him recover. "I hope to return to the ring soon," he says in the recording.  

During the fight at the San Isidro Fair, Juan Leal suffered a perforation in his tailbone. The goring was 25 centimeters in the perianal area but, fortunately, injuries to the bladder and rectum were ruled out.
