FraterTalk#5. Ergonomics and TME: let's relax the loads with Mercedes Sanchís Almenara
Fraternidad-Muprespa , Mutua Collaboradora con la Seguridad Social No. 275, organizes the day October 23 at 10:00 am the fifth edition of FRATERTALKS where, coinciding with the celebration of the European Week for Safety and Health at Work of the EU-OSHA, we will talk about “Ergonomics and TME: let's relax the loads” . For this we will have as a guest Mercedes Sanchís Almenara, director of Innovation in Wellbeing and Occupational Health at the Institute of Biomechanics of Valencia (IBV), a reference body in the field of ergonomics.
According to the Sixth European Survey on working conditions, three out of every five workers report suffering from some type of musculoskeletal ailment, constituting the most frequent work-related health problem in Europe.
MSDs (M Skeletal Muscle Disorder) of occupational origin are alterations suffered by body structures such as muscles, joints or tendons, caused or aggravated fundamentally by work or the effects of the immediate work environment. They tend to significantly deteriorate the quality of life and work capacity of the person who suffers from it, and are the source of one of the most common causes of disability, sick leave and early retirement. This is a cause for concern not only because of its effects on the health of individual workers, but also because of its detrimental impact on businesses and national economies.
Fraternidad-Muprespa has been developing throughout the year in this area.
FRATERTALKS is a virtual space where you can talk, reflect and share points of view on different aspects of the occupational risk prevention, health and occupational safety, counting on the best specialists in each specific field.
