Fraternidad-Muprespa receives two awards at the XX SETLA congress
Fraternidad-Muprespa has participated in the XX National Congress of the Spanish Society of Occupational Traumatology, SETLA, which was held on November 25 and 26 in Zaragoza.
The 51 Mutua professionals who participated have provided a comprehensive approach to patient care, sharing research on the treatments of traumatology, advances in studies from the point of view of nursing and highlighting the rehabilitative power that physiotherapy.
In particular, we should highlight the two recognitions obtained, on the one hand, the “Award for the best Nursing communication” about the “ Implementation of the use of the midline in patients with prolonged stays or with infectious processes”, presented by Irene Braojos Moreno, Hospitalization Nurse at the Hospital
On the other hand the “Award for the best Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy poster” with the poster "Clinical case: Physiotherapeutic treatment after partial section of the external jugular vein" presented by María Teresa Rodríguez Ramírez, Physiotherapist of the Lucena delegation in Córdoba, who also taught the Therapeutic Pilates Workshop, and who, proud of her profession and grateful for the award, offers us this quote "If medicine is the science that gives years to life, physiotherapy is the science that gives life to the years", in accordance with the vision of the Mutua, regarding comprehensive patient care and the commitment to re-engineering rehabilitation.

In the Communications section, that same day the doctor Andrea Paniagua, Traumatologist from the Shoulder Unit of the Hospital Fraternidad-Muprespa Habana presented the study on "Pectoralis major tendon rupture in the workplace. Our experience."
And as an example of the 25 years of experience of Hospital Fraternidad-Muprespa Habana as a training hospital, four of our resident doctors participated in different interventions. The doctor Raul Zapata, MIR R5, presented the communication on "Superior Capsular Reconstruction. Clinical and work results after one year of follow-up", and also described one of the clinical cases "Multiligamentary Instability of the Knee. What to Do?". The doctor Marta Pérez, MIR R2, explained communication on “Results in surgery for acute rupture of the distal tendon of the biceps brachii using a single anterior approach.” The doctor Tomas Losa, MIR R3, presented the clinical case on whether “Is there a discharge from work after a fourth spine surgery?” and the doctor Ishmael Rahmuni, MIR R4, carried out three interventions on clinical cases with interesting topics on whether "Can a knee be dislocated going down a staircase?", "Glenohumeral dislocation associated with bilateral glenoid fracture" and "Self-reduced lateral knee dislocation with complete CPE injury."
The second day continued with the defense of the poster “Therapeutic management of type II-III odontoid fracture: about a case” by the doctor María Victoria Serrano Samperio, healthcare doctor of the Fuengirola delegation in Malaga.
Regarding the nursing posters, he presided over the defenseElena Muñoz Bodega,supervisor of the Operating Room of the Hospital Fraternidad-Muprespa Habana, in which Susana Lázaro, TCAE of the Operating Room of the Hospital Fraternidad-Muprespa Habana participated, who presented the poster “Covid 19: perception of change”.
And in defense of physiotherapy poster Jesus Manuel Gallardo, physiotherapist at Puente Genil in Córdoba, defended the poster “Pilot project on PID”.
In communications presented on Friday in the field of healthcare medicine, doctorReinaldo Marquez, doctor from the Ripollet delegation in Barcelona gave two presentations: the first on the “Evaluation of patients with persistent covid syndrome from the perspective of a healthcare center in Fraternidad-Muprespa”, and the second on the “Use of ultrasound in the evaluation of wrist pain in the consultation of a healthcare center”. And he also participated with the poster on "Persistent pain in the wrist. It is not always Quervain's Tenosynovitis."
The doctor's turn for these interventions ended.Andrés Baena Hidalgo, healthcare physician at the Puente Genil branch in Córdoba, who presented the communication on the “Review of long-term T.I. for low back pain and estimation of the impact of the use of non-stick materials in lumbar surgery on it.”
In the nursing room he presented the communication Iñigo Espinar Vicario, emergency nurse Hospital Fraternidad-Muprespa Habana with the “Assessment of joint pain after the use of PRP in the knee” and Elena Modroño, nurse from the Fraternidad-Muprespa Havana Hospital explained “The challenge of vaccination at the Mutua”.
In the free physiotherapy communications we saw again Laura Valtueña with the intervention “About a case: superior capsular reconstruction of the shoulder.”
And communications continued in the trauma field, with the doctor José Luis Bada, traumatologist from the Barcelona delegation presenting "Ankle arthroscopy. Experience in a provincial delegation", and also presented two posters: "An air bubble where it doesn't touch" and "When less is more." For her part, the doctor Carmen Perez Varo presented the poster “About a case: accidental injection of high-pressure diesel in hand.”
The doctor participated again in the presentation of clinical cases Andrea Paniagua describing the “Fracture of coracoid process and ipsilateral acromion”.
