He Hospital Fraternidad-Muprespa Havana has participated in one more edition of the National Neurorachis Congress, organized by the Spanish Society of Vertebral and Spinal Surgery,which took place on March 10 and 11 with the theme“ “Spine surgery in the 21st century”.
On this occasion, the city of León has been in charge of receiving prestigious experts national and international in spinal trauma surgery. Neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, traumatologists, neurophysiologists and rehabilitators shared their presentations, communications and posters on spinal column pathology.
He Dr. Fernando Ordoñez, head of the Column Unit, has presented as first author a communication entitled "Magnetic resonance study of provisionally immobilized discs in percutaneous instrumentation of vertebral fractures without neurological injury", a study carried out together with the Dr. Eduardo Hevia Sierra and Dr. Bárbara Batres Cid, members of the Column Unit, and with the residents Dr. Tomás Losa Cuadrado, Dr. Raúl Zapata Rodrigo, Dr. Ismael Rahmuni del Pozo and Dr. Marta Pérez Rodríguez.
He Dr. Eduardo Hevia He has moderated a round table on "Pathology of the Thoracic Spine", with presentations on thoracolumbar fractures, thoracic disc herniations and their complications, in addition to participating in other communications as co-author.
The congress has been an important update on technological and scientific advances in spinal surgery.
