The Fraternidad-Muprespa Havana Hospital participates in the ANDE Nurse Managers Conference
The Director of Nursing of the Fraternidad-Muprespa Havana Hospital,Charity Amador has participated in the 32 National Conference of Nurse Managers organized by the National Association of Nursing Directors, ANDE, which took place from June 1 to 3, at the Toledo "El Greco" Congress Palace.
The day has been inaugurated by Carolina Darias, Minister of Health, which has highlighted how “ The creation of a Care Framework Initiative for the National Health System will articulate a model that will improve the competencies of advanced practice nurses, case management, pharmacological prescription and resource coordination.”
On Thursday, June 2, Caridad presented a communication made together with Elena Muñoz, Operating Room supervisor, with the title “RTLS solution for patient location at the Fraternidad-Muprespa Havana Hospital” about the implementation of this Real Time Location System (RTLS) for patients that makes their transit through the hospital more comfortable and offers more complete information.
The RTLS system helps to improve the quality of care for patients and companions, and also improves clinical safety, as well as the management and optimization of surgical and hospitalization times.
The system is developed through a series of Bluetooth location beacons located throughout the hospital, which detect a TAG device housed in the identification bracelets that are placed on patients upon admission.
This allows professionals to know, in real time, at what specific point in the process the patient is, which facilitates the management of certain areas with the provision of traceability information, automatic time recording, occupancy control and patient flow, especially in the surgical block.
In addition, the companions receive information about the situation of the patient or family member who is undergoing surgery through the digital screens distributed by the hospital, notices in the mobile application and on the linkwww.Fraternidad.com/familiares.
