At Fraternidad-Muprespa we want to congratulate the Auxiliary Nursing Care Technicians, for the day July 14 when this profession is celebrated.

At the Mutua there are many services in which they carry out their functions, admission, hospitalization, operating room, emergency room, consultations, pharmacy, etc... and they are an indispensable member of the multidisciplinary teams of the network's healthcare centers and the different units of the Fraternidad-Muprespa Havana Hospital and in total we have 218 professionals and They represent 20% of the Mutua's health personnel.
For the Nursing Assistant, it is essential to have an overall and coordinated vision of the different health conditions of the patients, auxiliary nursing care to be performed, as well as the instruments and materials used in the different consultations, units and/or services.
Among the functions carried out by the TCAE are the control and records of variables that describe the patient's state such as food, hygiene, fluid intake, diuresis, as well as first aid intervention in case of emergency, mobilizations and postural changes in the situation of dependency, the promotion of healthy habits and enhancing the patient's knowledge of preventive health and hygiene attitudes, the preparation of the patient and instrumental material, the assistance and technical support to nursing and medical professionals both in cures and in the interventions, the management procedures in summonses, transfers and referrals.
As a key piece of the health team, they are responsible for promoting the humanization of health care for the patient using psychological support and health education techniques, within their competence; Furthermore, their closeness to the patient during care allows them to assess the interrelationship of people with health/disease and its preventive, care and rehabilitative aspects.
Sometimes they may seem like an inconspicuous figure in the health strategy, but due to the place they occupy in direct patient care, they are professionals who They master a global and integrated vision of the health system in its organizational, functional, social and administrative aspects, and today we value their work, and we appreciate that vocation and professionalism, which allows us to offer a healthcare experience with excellence in the care of Fraternidad-Muprespa patients.
