The recent sentence of the Social Court number two of Tarragona, which condemns a company to compensate with 1.1 million euros to the family of an employee who committed suicide due to “anxiety and vital anguish” derived from his work activity, highlights the imperative need to create professional environments that prioritize the well-being and mental health of workers. This case highlights the serious consequences of not addressing psychosocial risks at work, such as chronic stress and lack of emotional support, which can culminate in human tragedies and legal liabilities for companies.

It is essential that organizations implement effective prevention policies, psychological support and foster a corporate culture that values and protects the mental health of their professionals.
