Solidarity X in the Income Tax return: make it happen

General

Fraternidad-Muprespa gives voice, once again, to the “X solidarity” initiative, aimed at informing and raising awareness among taxpayers so that they check box 106 of 'Activities of Social Interest' in their annual income tax return. In this way, 0.7% of taxes are allocated to social projects that help those who need it most, at no cost to the taxpayer.

Thanks to citizen solidarity, there are already more than 12.3 million people who contribute to improving the lives of groups in vulnerable situations, such as people in situations of poverty, social exclusion, women, families, older people, people with disabilities or children, among others.

In 2024, 279,775 more people joined this solidarity movement, which 52% of the population has already joined. According to the entity, if 48% of the population that does not check box 106 did so, 861 million could be raised for social projects.

The initiative was presented in a colloquium this Tuesday in which they participated Patricia Bezunartea, general director of Families and Diversity of the Ministry of Social Rights, Consumption and Agenda 2030; Yolanda Besteiro, president of the Social Action NGO Platform, Luciano Poyato, president of the Third Sector Platform, and three people who have received support from the “X Solidaria”

The “X Solidaria” campaign is coordinated by the Social Action NGO Platform and has the support of the Third Sector Platform, the Spanish Volunteering Platform, the Network to Fight Poverty and Social Exclusion in the Spanish State (EAPN-ES), the Spanish Committee of Representatives of People with Disabilities (CERMI), the Children's Platform and the Coordinator of NGOs for Development-Spain and is financed by the Ministry of Social Rights, Consumption and Agenda 2030.

The new income campaign begins this Wednesday, April 2, and runs until June 30.
