Conference in Palencia of the INSS and Fraternidad-Muprespa on making IP pension and work compatible

Fraternidad-Muprespa and the Provincial Directorate of the INSS in Palencia held an information day last Wednesday on the compatibility between the permanent disability pension and work. Lourdes Maté, Provincial Director of the National Institute of Social Security and the General Treasury of Social Security of Palencia, presented the event, which included the participation of Marta Carretero, director of the Mutual Legal Services and Advisory Center. Carretero addressed the recent modification of the Workers' Statute and the aspects related to reasonable adjustment whose protocol must be applied in the event of a worker's total disability.

Immaculate Red, Provincial Deputy Director of Pension Management, analyzed the different situations that may arise when a worker, after obtaining a permanent disability, decides to return to work. He also highlighted the high frequency of incidents in this process and the importance of avoiding them. Likewise, the impact of inadequate management of these cases was explained, which usually results in prolonged periods of temporary disability (TI).

The day was attended by Carmen Rueda, Territorial Director of the Central Zone-Large Mutualists of Fraternidad-Muprespa, and the president of the College of Social Graduates of Palencia, Andrea Castrillo. Its closing was carried out by Javier Saldana, Provincial Director of the Mutua in Valladolid and Palencia, who thanked the speakers for the quality of their presentations and the attendees for their participation and interest in the topics discussed.
