Fraternidad-Muprespa participates in an IBV webinar on joint balance with biomechanical techniques

On the 19th, the Institute of Biomechanics organized the webinar “Analysis of joint balance and its usefulness in the context of management of work disability”, which had the presence and testimony of two professionals frome Fraternidad-Muprespa.

The day opened Ignacio Bermejo, innovation director of the IBV Technologies area, who were followed Maria del Mar Sanchez, specialist in rehabilitation at the Mutual Collaborator with Social Security, and Diego Garcia, physiotherapist. Both shared their experience in managing joint balance analysis with different biomechanical techniques that they use and their usefulness in the context of managing work disability.

In his presentation, Sánchez presented evolutionary statistical data on the use of the main IBV application for measuring joint balance, NedRangos. He also described why, when and how they use this tool and summarized the results obtained, and then went on to detail two practical cases with real patients evaluated in the laboratory.

This study has illustrated how the analysis of joint balance, together with other biomechanical techniques, can influence the management of work disability, both in the assessment of TR and in the evaluation of sequelae.

Diego Garcia, for his part, recorded a video with contributions on the point of view of the physiotherapist evaluator and also responded to the questions raised by the attendees during the question period.
